About Me

Thai Phi was born in a refugee camp in Chon Buri, Thailand during his parents immigration to America from Vietnam. He grew up in both San Francisco, CA and Sumter, SC. He often travels back to Vietnam to see his aunties and cousins and to learn all of the family recipes. Pink Bellies is his first restaurant, which he started as a food truck soon after graduating from the College of Charleston with his Master of Business Administration degree.
