About Me

Originally from Pensacola, FL, Chef Russ Moore is the Executive Chef of the iconic Charleston institution, Slightly North of Broad. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts, Moore has been a vital presence in SNOB’s kitchen for over 22 years, shaping its legacy with consistency, creativity, and quiet leadership.
Moore describes his management style as “old school, but evolving,” blending the discipline and precision of classic kitchens with a modern focus on mentorship and adaptability. He is deeply drawn to the hospitality industry for the daily challenge of flawlessly executing service and delivering success through every plate.
Outside of the kitchen, Moore is the proud father of his son, Whit, and a steadfast presence in Charleston’s vibrant culinary community. His decades of dedication to SNOB reflect a passion not just for food, but for the people and traditions that make a restaurant truly timeless.
