About Me

Luca Cigliuti is the Director of Sales and Education for Contratto & La Spinetta, two of Italy’s most celebrated producers of fine wines, sparkling wines and artisan antica recipe Italian spirits. With deep roots in Piedmont’s winemaking tradition and a lifelong passion for the craft, Luca has become a driving force behind the global presence and modern identity of these historic Estates.

At La Spinetta, he champions the Estate’s dedication to terroir-driven wines that express the elegance and intensity of Piedmont. At Contratto, Italy’s oldest sparkling wine house and producer of artisanal antica recipe Italian Vermouths and Liquors, he has been instrumental in revitalizing the brand’s heritage and introduction to the USA. Most recently, Luca helped to co-create a new product and brand that honors the great historical tradition of the sparkling apertivo cocktail: Contrattino. Created in collaboration with celebrity chef and 3-Michelin-star master, Antonino Cannavacciuolo, Contrattino is focused on all natural, certified organic ingredients. Contrattino is the newest phenomenon from Italy that is offered both as a low-alcohol single serving beverage, or also as a non-alcoholic version.

Known for his dynamic energy, strategic insight, and deep understanding of wines and spirits. His approach combines respect for tradition with a forward-looking sensibility that continues to shape the identity of Italian fine wine and spirits on the world stage.

When he is not traveling for work, Luca can be found in the vineyards of Piedmont, maintaining a hands-on connection to the land and people that inspire his work.
