About Me
Chef Devin is the Executive Chef of Abbracci, an Italian cuisine and cocktail destination in Charleston rooted in warmth, hospitality, and community. A Charleston resident for more than 12 years, Chef Devin has built a career defined by technical excellence, thoughtful leadership, and a deep respect for both ingredients and people.
His culinary foundation was shaped during his time at FIG under James Beard Award–winning chef Jason Stanhope, where he developed a disciplined, ingredient-driven approach to cooking that continues to guide his work. He later joined the culinary leadership team overseeing the acclaimed dining collection at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, refining his skills in high-level execution, team development, and hospitality at scale.
At Abbracci, Chef Devin brings his lifelong passion for Italian cuisine to life through fresh, daily-made pasta, classic preparations, and dishes that balance tradition with a distinctly Lowcountry sensibility. Local sourcing is central to his philosophy, drawing from nearby waters and farms and pairing those ingredients with Italian staples such as olive oil, cheeses, and vinegars. The result is food that feels both timeless and deeply rooted in place.
Abbracci’s mission closely aligns with Chef Devin’s values. Meaning “hugs” in Italian, the restaurant was created as a welcoming space where guests feel at home, while also providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with special abilities through its connection to sibling restaurant Migliori’s.
