About Me

Kyle Harder is the founder of See the Elephant Amaro, a modern Italian liqueur inspired by curiosity and adventure. With over 15 years in the spirits industry, including key roles at leading companies such as Diageo and Proximo Spirits, it was during his travels to Italy where a love for Italian drinking culture sparked his fascination with amaro. Kyle launched See the Elephant in Charleston in 2022. Produced in Agropoli, Italy, with fresh arugula, the amaro takes its name from the old phrase “to see the elephant” which means to seek out life’s grandest experiences and witness them for oneself.

Kyle’s dedication to the craft is reflected in his commitment to creating distinctive spirits that merge old-world production with modern design and identity. Blending art, culture, and taste into one cohesive story, he invites drinkers to explore beyond the ordinary. His deep knowledge and enthusiasm for amari make him an engaging educator, passionate about sharing the history, flavors, and cultural significance of this timeless Italian liqueur.
