Chef Taïssa
• Taïssa obtained her French Brevet at the Lycée Français Collège Marie de France in Montreal in 1996. She then earned her two Haitian Baccalaureates, first and second parts, in 1999 and 2000 respectively. In 2008, she received her Catering Services diploma from Penn Foster University in Pennsylvania.
• As part of her continuing education, the Chef regularly takes opportunities to perfect her craft. In 2019 alone, she participated in several seminars and workshops in Belgium and Marseille. She also took part in the Food & Wine Festival in South Carolina in 2024.
• Chef Taïssa has provided catering services to the National Press from 2011 to 2012, as well as to several private institutions and embassies. She also served as Head Caterer at Haiti’s National Palace from March 2012 to March 2013. Currently, she is the owner of La Souvenance restaurant (temporarily closed) and Tasty Bites ( operational to this date ). She continues to offer catering and event services, presenting her clients with a fusion of Haitian and French cuisine. She also teaches cooking classes and table art. She is also working on the coming out of her first cooking book , scheduled for next year
• Her latest creations — a line of sauces, flavored oils and butters, and local spices — add to her growing list of achievements.
• Chef Taïssa never ceases to impress with her blend of exotic flavors, while preserving the fundamentals of taste. Her goal is to advance Haitian gastronomy, making extensive use of local products and promoting job creation within the country.
