About Me
From Guatemala to the United States. With big dreams, our new Director of Culinary Chef Ruddy Bollat came to the United States and started in the restaurant industry over 13 years ago. His first introduction to a kitchen was as a dishwasher, his attention to detail and his work ethic took the industry by storm leading him to becoming a line cook, sous chef, executive chef then a Director of Culinary .
Chef Ruddy had the opportunity to elevate his cooking skills working side by side with great Chefs and Managers. Working and helping to open new restaurants with Barcelona Wine bar, Bartaco, Dinosaur BBQ, Hudson Grill and Boca restaurant Group, also his own food truck business BombarBQ has led him to where he is today. Having won Best Food truck by The Best of Gold Coast 2 years in a row in the Connecticut area solidified that his passion and work ethic is tangible through his recipes and leadership. Now, he plans to bring his passion to Mex1 & Islander71.
