About Me

A Charlestonian by way of New York City, Chef Daniel Nightengale joined The Restoration as the Food & Beverage Director seven years ago, where he quickly immersed himself in the local flavors that were available to him. As a student of The Ohio State University Daniel took his time studying Food Science and Nutrition to better understand the way food affects our daily lives. As a former Graduate from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Daniel brings over 20 years of culinary experience and pedigree to The Restoration Hotel. Daniel continues to elevate the culinary experience for those looking for authentic Southern dishes, adding a new dimension of culinary adventure with his customized private dining program. When Daniel is not working, he spends time with is Wife Chelsea and two children Quinn and Hendrick. He also loves watching sports, playing golf, reading cookbooks, and furthering his passion for food and wine, cooking while dining out with his family.
