About Me
Bobby Huff is one half of the winemaking duo behind Joseph-Jibril Wines in Sonoma County, California. He serves as co-winemaker alongside Jaam Moynihan, with the winery’s name drawn from their combined middle names. What began as casual parking-lot conversations after work, evolved into a shared vision, realized through years of cellar work, mutual support, and a leap of faith. From vineyard sourcing and winemaking to marketing and sales, the pair handle every aspect of the business themselves.
Joseph-Jibril’s mission is simple: to make wines people genuinely want to drink. Inspired by village-level wines of the Old World, the focus is on affordability, balance, and consistency, wines that deliver quality year after year. The winery presents classic varietals through a fresh lens, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc.
Bobby’s path into wine began in restaurants, where his interest in wine took root. After a decade in the restaurant business, he returned to school to earn a degree in Wine and Viticulture and spent years honing his craft in Sonoma County cellars, including stints at Kosta Browne, Marine Layer Wines, and Jolie-Laide. He is currently the Assistant Winemaker at Jolie-Laide in Sonoma.
