About Me

Andrea Lever Upchurch, a South Carolina native, has always had a passion for food & art. Growing up Sunday suppers & family dinners were always a cherished memory.
Her interests in cooking led her to the Culinary Institute of Charleston where she developed a passion for pastry. Appreciating how dessert brings people together for special moments. She worked throughout the Lowcountry in a variety of positions. She was with HMGI as executive pastry chef for Magnolias, Cypress, Blossom, & Artisan Meat Share where she oversaw the production and menu development of pastries & pasta. Upchurch then worked as executive pastry chef of The Obstinate Daughter & Beardcats Sweetshop before relocating to NC. Upchurch now works as a freelance pastry chef throughout the area Charlotte area.
