About Me
Originally from Clearwater, Florida, and raised in York, Pennsylvania, Chef Tyler discovered his passion for cooking at an early age, helping his parents prepare family meals and cater local community events. He went on to study culinary arts at Yorktown Business Institute, where he began building the foundation for a career defined by dedication, leadership, and craft.
By the age of 19, Tyler was managing purchasing for Roburrito’s, a local burrito concept that sparked his lasting appreciation for bold, approachable flavors. He later joined the team at Luca in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, rising to sous chef during a period when the restaurant earned a James Beard Award nomination and the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House.
Tyler joined the Neighborhood Dining Group in 2021, spending over four years at Husk Charleston, refining his technical skills and leadership style as Executive Sous Chef. His approach to the kitchen is grounded in teamwork, consistency, and respect — for both people and product.
As Executive Chef of Minero Mexican Grill & Cantina, Tyler is excited to explore Mexican cuisine through a fresh lens — honoring its traditions while bringing his own creativity and perspective to the menu. His philosophy is simple: take the craft seriously but never lose sight of the joy and connection that great food creates.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Tyler enjoys playing drums and guitar, spending time with his partner Katy, his stepdaughter Fiona, and their dogs Otis and Danvers.
