About Me

Morgan Beck’s journey into winemaking is anything but conventional. Growing up in Colorado, she initially pursued a degree in Finance before discovering her love for wine. After earning an Enology & Viticulture certificate in Argentina, Morgan fell in love with Pinot Noir, which inspired her to chase harvests around the globe.

Eager to deepen her expertise in organic and biodynamic viticulture, Morgan spent several growing seasons with a vineyard management team in Sonoma and Napa. Upon returning to the cellar, she embraced ‘low-manipulation’ winemaking techniques, finding her true calling in Oregon. The quality and expression of the fruit she encountered solidified biodynamic practices as the foundation of her winegrowing philosophy.

Morgan joined the Johan team in 2015 and stepped into the winemaker position in 2018. While always working towards a holistic/regenerative system, Morgan’s goal is to share the story of the growing season, the place, and the people behind the wines each year when guiding the wines from grape to bottle.
