About Me
Although Taylor Piedfort was born in Virginia Beach, he and his family moved to where his extended family had been calling home for generations–Charleston, SC. By the age of 15, Piedfort had already found his calling in the kitchen, drawn to the infectious energy, creativity, and craft of cooking. That passion is what led him to the Culinary Institute of Charleston, where he began formal training to turn his love of food into a lifelong career.
With 18 years in the hospitality industry, Piedfort brings both experience and humility to his role as Chef de Cuisine at The Archer. He thrives in kitchen environments where curiosity and passion drive the team forward and strongly believes you are never done learning and honing your craft.
Piedfort’s leadership style is built on mentorship and pride. He works to pass along knowledge and techniques he has gathered over the years, encouraging his team to not only take pride in their work, but to take pride in themselves.
When he is not at The Archer, you’ll likely find him enjoying time with his partner, Janel, and their daughter, Juniper. Piedfort also loves fishing the waters around Charleston and soaking in the beauty of the coast he calls home.
