Laura Brennan Bissell
About Me
Laura Brennan Bissell lives on her farm/vineyard in Underwood, WA, surrounded by a menagerie of animals and children, and is full of hope for the future of family owned American farm. She is at the helm of both INCONNU and AITIA wineries, both focusing on Regenerative Agriculture; she stewards her own land in accordance with this philosophy. She is a huge proponent of no till, dry farming, the return of native grasses, growing what you eat, and the integration of animals on ag land.
In addition to winemaking LBB is a dedicated civil servant to her rural community, and serves as the Skamania County commissioner for the Columbia River Gorge Commission, which governs the National Scenic Area, along the Columbia River, in Western Washington, and Oregon. She works hard within her region to preserve the rights of farmers, and is also deeply invested in the evolution of forestry practices, to build fire resistant ecosystems, and preserve regenerative American industry.
Laura also teaches functional movement, Yin yoga, and meditation, is an avid Jiu Jitsu practitioner, and loves cheeseburgers and the island of Kaua’i more than most things.
