In 2023, three Charleston natives embarked on a spirited adventure into the world of Italian Prosecco. With the launch of Don Luchi, co-founders Justin Wages, David Kinloch, and Andre Grundy not only made history as South Carolina’s first Black-owned Prosecco brand, they did so with remarkable breakout success.
Since its launch in June 2024, the inspired lifestyle and beverage brand has captivated the food and wine scene across the Southeast, successfully launching a crowd-favorite Prosecco DOCG and a Prosecco Rose DOC within its first nine months of operation. Their inspiring story has been featured in local and national media such as Black Entrprise, Eaters Carolina, and The Post & Courier. Don Luchi was also selected for the opening and closing toast at the world-class 2025 Charleston Wine + Food festival.
Justin, a seasoned entrepreneur, leads Don Luchi’s brand strategy with visionary expertise. David, a legendary music producer and studio owner, brings creative insight and business development skills honed in the entertainment industry. Andre, an industrial engineer, ensures seamless operations and excellence in every bottle delivered.
The co-founders’ passion for travel and exploration fuels their mission to transform global experiences into accessible local luxuries. With their collective talents, they’re building a bright and bubbly future in food and wine.
