About Me

Heather Hutton’s sweet tooth kicked in early in her life, and she’s been baking up a storm ever since. What started as a fun way to treat family and friends in her adolescence turned into a lifelong passion, where she has now been baking professionally for 20 years. After earning her stripes (and a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts) from Johnson & Wales, she quickly rose through the ranks, impressing diners with her creative, flavor-packed desserts.

In 2016, Heather was appointed as the Executive Pastry Chef at Edmund’s Oast, where her signature desserts garnered acclaim within the community and on a national scale. From North Carolina to Charleston, Heather’s journey has taken her through fine dining and upscale casual spots, always pushing boundaries with playful, unexpected flavors. In 2024, Heather launched Roxa, an online dessert shop while creating her desserts for top restaurants in town, such as Charleston’s acclaimed Chubby Fish. Heather is now on a mission to open her own dessert space that focuses on originality and globally inspired desserts. Heather’s desserts are a celebration of color, texture, and the perfect balance of flavors—because, for her, dessert should be anything but boring!
