Over the last 25 years, David has traveled much of the world studying and collaborating with iconic winemakers, Master Sommeliers, brilliant chefs and talented distillers. Today, as the Director of Sales and Education for Indigenous Selections, David’s focus and passion is Italy.
Indigenous Selections is a family of exceptional Italian producers who are, first and foremost, great farmers. Each producer firmly believes that great wines are grown, not made. Everything we do at Indigenous Selections comes from a winemaker’s perspective, as we are a unique import company that is owned and managed by an Italian winemaker. Our producers are also all a driving force for the evolution and elevation of their regions.
Even through our focus at Indigenous is wine, we also represent a very historical producer of artisanal spirits: Contratto. With over 100 years of history, Contratto still produces their Italian Liquors and Vermouths using the same antica recipes and all natural and organic ingredients. And now Contratto has partnered to create something exciting and new but also rooted in Italy’s great historical tradition of the sparkling apertivo cocktail: Contrattino. Created in collaboration with celebrity chef and 3-Michelin-star master, Antonino Cannavacciuolo, Contrattino is the newest phenomenon from Italy that is offered both as a low-alcohol single serving beverage, or also as a non-alcoholic version.
