​​Never underestimate the impact one individual can have on the lives and careers of others. That belief is at the heart of our Community Impact Awards—a program dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes of Charleston’s culinary + hospitality community. These are the voices, supporters, and visionaries whose influence, generosity, and perseverance create lasting change, while paying it forward to uplift the next generation.

Each year, Charleston Wine + Food will bestow Community Impact Awards upon a select group of honorees, nominated by their peers, who embody the people-first leadership, artistry, and dedication that define our industry. These individuals will be celebrated at our annual Community Impact Awards Luncheon, an event designed not only to honor their contributions, but also to raise vital funds for mentorship, education, and opportunity.

Building the Future of Hospitality
Charleston Wine + Food’s High School Culinary Scholars Program has flourished over the past four years, now serving two school districts, 10 high schools, and more than 1,200 students. Demand for this program has grown by 500% since its first year. To meet this need, we’re launching a new externship initiative, providing 100 students with paid, hands-on experience at the 2025 Festival.

These externships complement classroom learning by placing students in real kitchens and hospitality spaces, working alongside seasoned professionals and some of the nation’s best culinary talent. Students gain job-ready skills, build networks, and earn hours toward certifications like ProStart, laying the foundation for strong, sustainable careers.
