About Me

Meet Andrew Jones, a Lowcountry native who has dedicated his life to cultivating the finest, distinctive oysters from the pristine waters of Bird Island since 2019. He has always felt a profound connection to the water and the life it harbors. After 5 years of experience of being just a harvester, his passion and dedication brought the establishment of Bird Island Oyster Company. With the help of his culture lease, Andrew has been able to create a brand known for its salty, unique oysters. Sustainability and the health of his oyster lease is his top priority, and he loves to give back to his oyster beds as much as he can. He believes that oysters are more than just a delicacy; they are an experience, and each one tells a unique story of the waters they come from. He takes pride in his product and views each oyster as a reflection of nature’s artistry.
When Andrew isn’t tending to his oyster haven, you can find him savoring moments with his family, perfecting his golf swing, or immersing himself in the serenity of the river that has shaped his life.
