Chef Michael Sibert is one of South Carolina’s most dynamic culinary talents, celebrated for his bold Cajun Creole influence, dedication to local ingredients, and increasingly visible national profile. A native of Greenwood, he refined his craft through study at Cornell University and the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas before earning his first executive chef role at the age of twenty two. Today he leads White Wine and Butter in Greer, a concept that reflects his passion for food, people, and Southern hospitality.
Sibert’s leadership and creative approach have earned notable recognition. In 2024 he was named a South Carolina Chef Ambassador, awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce, and presented with the key to the city of Greer for his community impact and charitable contributions. His skill has reached national audiences as well. He competed on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games in 2023 and returned in 2025 to win Chopped, securing his place among chefs who excel under pressure.
Through each achievement Sibert continues to shine a spotlight on South Carolina’s rich culinary culture. He elevates regional ingredients, honors local voices, and tells the story of Southern food with confidence and heart while inspiring the next generation of chefs.
