About Me

Chi Walker is a Detroit-based private chef, hospitality entrepreneur, and co-founder of Fried Chicken & Caviar, a culinary brand where comfort and luxury meet on one plate. Through her work, Walker explores the intersection of culture, community, and cuisine — creating experiences that celebrate both grit and opulence, joy and resistance.

As the owner of Wild Flower Hospitality, she curates dining experiences that highlight local farms, seasonal ingredients, and the stories of the hands that feed us. Her culinary philosophy centers on food as a bridge — between people, traditions, and access — drawing inspiration from her work in the food insecurity and food sovereignty space.

Walker’s collaborations span film, art, and food, including partnerships with Lowkey Cinema, Cinema Lamont, and Focus Features, merging storytelling and dining to build community through shared experience. A James Beard Foundation Policy & Change Bootcamp alum and a Detroit Food Policy Council speaker, she uses her platform to advocate for equitable food systems and creative entrepreneurship within hospitality.

Whether hosting intimate pop-ups or festival dinners, Walker’s work is rooted in the belief that food should be both delicious and meaningful — a reflection of where we come from and what we deserve.
