Thanks to VinePair, the leading drinks lifestyle publication in America, Charleston’s Renzo and Brooklyn’s Theodora are coming together for a one-night-only culinary collaboration that blends casually elegant Italian-inspired cooking with bold, seasonal creativity.
Housed in a historic Charleston storefront, Renzo is the first full-service restaurant from Faculty Lounge owners Erik and Nayda Hutson. Known for its thoughtful, from-scratch menu led by Executive Chef Colin Marcelli, Renzo celebrates handmade pasta, local ingredients, and the ease of Italian-style dining. The beverage program mirrors that ethos, highlighting small, family-run estates, underrated regions, and terroir-driven, low-intervention wines that let the land speak for itself.
Theodora, the recipient of VinePair’s 2024 Next Wave Award for Food & Beverage Program of the Year, is a standout in Brooklyn’s natural wine and culinary scene. Helmed by Chef Tomer Blechman, the NYC hotspot brings its distinct energy and point of view to Charleston for this collaborative evening—offering a creative exchange between two restaurants rooted in community, craftsmanship, and bold, expressive ingredients.
